Mountain Operations
All Mountain Operations applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to work outside, in cold temperatures, for extended periods of time. Required to work weekends and holidays.

Lift Supervisor
Full Time Seasonal
Qualifications:

Minimum of 6 months experience as a mechanic/operator or similar position. Must have some mechanical and/or electrical skills. Supervisory experience is required. Driver’s license is required.

Job Description:
· Responsible for all lift operations training.
· Assures safe operations of all lifts for employees and public.
· Assures all paperwork for lift operations is completed and filed.
· Schedules all lift attendants, lift operator and mechanic/operators.
· Supervises operation of lift for torch light parade.
· Works very closely with Lift Maintenance Coordinator to complete weekly, monthly and annual routine maintenance and emergency repairs.

Lift Mechanic/Operator
Full Time Year Round or Seasonal
Qualifications:

Mechanical ability is necessary. Must be able to swing chairs, shovel snow and maintain load and unload ramps on chair lifts. Some supervisory experience is helpful. Driver’s license is desirable.

Job Description:
· Does pre-operational checks on detachable quad chair lift.
· Operates lift for public transportation.
· Coordinates relief and lunch breaks for attendants assigned to his/her lift.
· Does “first line” troubleshooting for chair lift problems.
· Completes all daily lift paperwork.
· Assist with routine lift maintenance.
· Checks tickets and passes.
· Handles crowd control in lift queue areas.
· Monitors and controls lift unload area.
· Perform line checks.
· During summer performs maintenance under the direction of the Lift Maintenance Coordinator. Builds and or repairs load/unload ramps and decks.

 

Ski School

Ski/Snowboard Instructors
Children’s Instructors
Adult Program Instructors

Qualifications:
· Adult Program Ski instructors must be certified or working towards certification by PSIA or have been approved by the Director of Skiing.
· All Ski instructors must take part in the ongoing clinics offered throughout the ski season by the Ski School Staff.
· All Instructors must be able to ski from the highest operating point of the mountain prior to line-up.

Responsibilities:
· Be punctual and in attendance when expected.
· Participate in the AM and PM group lesson line-up and check in hourly for private lessons.
· Use good judgment in selecting terrain which is safe and appropriate to your students ability.
· Meet or exceed the expectations of each student by providing a quality lesson which analyses and facilitates the students needs.
· Ski in accordance with the Skier’s Responsibility Code.

 

Day Care

Child Care Teachers
Full or Part Time Seasonal
Minimum qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old and have successfully completed one course in child development approved by the Dept. of Human Services. This person must also meet the qualifications as required by the Children’s’ Day Care Licensing Regulations.

Responsibilities:
· Provide care for babies and young children in a ski resort child care facility.
· Attend to the physical needs of children.
· Be able to entertain children.
· Be able to check children in/out of the Child Care Center.
· Be able to communicate with supervisor, parents and children.
· Assist with the opening and closing of the child care center, as needed.
· Help maintain premises in a clean, neat and sanitary way.

 

Food and Beverage

Waitstaff, Bartenders, Bussers, Setup People
Full or Part Time Seasonal

Required to wear black dress pants, white oxford shirt with black shoes. Weekends are a must.
7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
3:30 p.m. to close

Line / Prep / Grill Cooks
Full or Part Time Seasonal

Breakfast shifts available. Weekends are a must.

 

Hotel Operations

Housekeepers
Full Time Year Round or Seasonal

Relevant experience, good knowledge and skill in routine housekeeping and custodial work. Ability to take directions and work independently. Weekends are a must.

Basic Function:
· Perform routine custodial and or housekeeping; move furniture; clean floors; shampoo carpets; change beds, empty trash receptacles and pick up litter.

Front Desk Clerks
Full or Part Time year round

High school graduate plus one year of relevant clerical experience. Must have a professional phone manner and positive attitude. Hospitality , sales experience helpful.

Basic Function:
· Check guest into and out of lodging accommodations, take payments, post charges, put keys away.
· Answer questions for guest, answer switchboard, run various computer reports and perform other clerical tasks. Knowledge of Springer-Miller reservation system is a plus.

Qualifications:

· Previous sales generation experience in the hospitality industry.
· Microsoft Office skills.
· Database experience.
· Telephone sales experience.

Basic Function:
Focus is on selling our resort conference rooms for ski groups, weddings, motorcoach tours and corporate functions of all types.
